Upcoming Messages at Jacob’s Well

Posted on November 29, 2011

We are studying Jesus’ teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. Right now we’re looking at Jesus’ teaching on some of today’s most important – and difficult – subjects. It is instructive, and often surprising, to reflect on what Jesus has to say about the things that we often struggle with today.

But beware: understanding Jesus’ words is not always such a straightforward proposition. These words were spoken 2000 years ago in a different social context. Applying these teachings to our lives today requires understanding and careful discernment.

This series coming up sounds wonderful! We started talking about forgiveness last week and I would like to see you sierirs on how to forgive. So many need forgiveness in their life & so many need to learn how to forgive just to move on with their lives. I would also like to see a series on how to handle anger towards people and situations in our lives.

Thanks for the comment and suggestion Laurene. I will definitely look into something about forgiveness in the future. We currently have plans in place that will take us through the Sermon on the Mount, which will take a few months, but I like the idea of looking at forgiveness after that.
