In August, Genevieve and Christian Eidem will follow God's call to work for his Kingdom in the country of Ukraine. Below is a short message from Genevieve and Christian on why they feel called to Ukraine.

In 2014, Russia invaded Ukraine and annexed Crimea. While the mainstream media has tended to focus on Vladimir Putin and the geopolitical crisis brought on by the invasion, the humanitarian element has mostly gone underreported. Millions of people have been displaced from their homes, fleeing a war that has killed over 10,000 men, women, and children. The people of Ukraine have witnessed a part of their country torn away from them, and have been plunged into an identity crisis as a young nation. Trust in their institutions is at an all-time low, and many believe they have hit rock bottom.

That's why it's critical for there to be missionaries in Ukraine. There is a tremendous amount of work to be done, from rebuilding and delivering bottled water, to ministering to the souls of the brokenhearted and the refugees. Where there is turmoil and hopelessness, God commands his people to journey.

Please partner with us in prayer as we seek to build community and meet the needs of the people in Kyiv, Ukraine.
